Instructions for Use

User Instructions

NightBirds eyewear are intended for reducing glare discomfort caused by bright lights such as vehicle headlights encountered in twilight and night-time driving conditions. Prior to use, check that glasses fit properly and do not obstruct vision. In normal use, the eyes should be aligned to look through the primary light-yellow zone of the lens. When encountering particularly bright lights, rotate the head down and away from light source to engage the secondary dark-orange zone for increased glare blocking.

Keep Lenses Clean for Best Results

Residual oils left from improper cleaning may cause visual artifacts such as “streaking”. For best optical clarity, clean lenses thoroughly each time prior to use. Ensure any microfiber cleaning cloths used for drying or polishing are also washed regularly.

Caution

Wearing the eyewear for the first time may require a learning period of between 2 to 4 hours of use over a period of 1 to 2 weeks. During this initial period, take extra caution while wearing the glasses. If the glasses impair vision, discontinue use immediately. Please note that while the eyewear may reduce the discomfort of glare, they may not improve the visibility of dark objects veiled by glare.

Care and Handling

For maximum optical performance, NightBirds lenses are anti-reflection coated and include a water & oil repellant coating on the front and back surfaces. To remove dust and smudges from routine use, NightBirds eyewear may be cleaned using an optical-grade cleaning spray and the included microfiber cloth. The glasses can also be cleaned with mild dish soap and warm water, and then dried and polished with the included microfiber cleaning cloth. Do not clean the product with detergents or solvents such as rubbing alcohol. Do not wipe the frame or lenses with abrasive materials such as paper towels or clothing. Do not store the glasses in direct sunlight under extreme heat, such as on a car dashboard. For maximum lifespan, always store the eyewear inside the included case.
